Jamaican Born Entrepreneurs of Natural Trend Setters – Setting Up Shop At Florida Memorial University

MIAMI GARDENS – World-Renowned Salon Natural Trend Setters, South Florida’s First & Finest Natural Hair Care Experts, are taking their talents to Miami Gardens via the eclectic and historic campus of Florida Memorial University (FMU).

Recently featured on VH1’s hit show “Beverly Hills Fabulous,” the phenomenal Natural Trend Setters (NTS) team has created a unique partnership with FMU to provide their styling, barber and nail expertise to students, faculty and other members of the Miami and Florida Memorial community. The salon plans to
teach young African American how to groom themselves for the business world, while also creating one-of a-kind philanthropic opportunities annually for qualified students.

For more than 12 years Trudy and Simone Hylton have been leaders in the South Florida natural hair care arena, providing consultations, direction and assistance when transitioning to natural hair and all natural hairstyles including braids, twists, locs, extensions and much more. During the celebration NTS will educate patrons on hair care alternatives available to fortify healthy and strong hair whether relaxed or natural. The FMU On-Campus Grand Opening Celebration will be held on Monday, September 12th at 6:00 pm.

Simone and Trudy Hylton, owners of Natural Trend Setters Hair Salon, were born of Jamaican heritage and raised in New York then relocated to Florida to set trends naturally, as the first and best natural hair care salon in South Florida. Simone is known as the creative visionary and Trudy is known as the business savvy executive of Natural Trend Setters. These sisters have been in business over 12 years, during this period they have opened four salons and are currently operating two very successful salons in South Florida.
