Jamaica Voted Best Selling Caribbean Destination for the 13th Consecutive Year by Recommend Magazine

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica has again been recognized as the choice Caribbean destination for the 13th consecutive year. The destination reaffirmed its position as the top selling Caribbean destination voted by travel agents in Recommend magazine’s 16th Annual Reader’s Choice Award. Recommend surveyed 1,500 readers for the awards, which will be highlighted editorially in the December 2012, Recommend Readers’ Choice Awards Issue.

“Jamaica is honoured to have once again been voted the “Best Selling Destination – Caribbean” by Recommend readers for more than a decade. said Jamaica’s Director of Tourism John Lynch. “This award, which speaks volumes about our consistency, quality and diversity, is especially meaningful because it was selected by travel professionals. We value the travel agent community and are grateful for their dedication in keeping Jamaica top of mind with travelers.”

The Recommend Readers’ Choice Awards survey was completed by 1,500 travel agents, who responded to a complete fill-in questionnaire — not multiple choice — where there were no nominations presented.

Recommend magazine is a monthly publication with a circulation of over 45,000 travel agents in North America. As one of the leaders in the travel trade marketplace, Recommend offers a wide array of products and services to educate and inform travel agents, while partnering with the community to enhance the essential role travel agents play in creating travel experiences for their clients.

“Having won in this category for the last 13 years consecutively attests to the solid reputation of Jamaica’s exceptional products and services” said Lorri Robbins, Recommend magazine’s VP Group Publisher. “This Caribbean vacation paradise continues to be a favourite among our 45,000-plus travel professional readers of Recommend magazine.”
