Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) launches international money transfer service to St. Vincent

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has commended the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) for establishing an alliance with the St. Vincent Building and Loan Association to provide affordable money transfer services through its “JN International Money Transfer” brand.

“This move is a healthy and necessary thing in the new Caribbean Single Market and Economy (CSME),” Dr. Gonsalves pointed out, while speaking at the launch in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The JN International Money Transfer service will be offered through the St. Vincent Building and Loan Association, which will operate as the distributing arm.

The service is supported by the award-winning software – “E-money”, which facilitates the speedy transfer of funds.

Earl Jarrett, General Manager of the JNBS Group, said this alliance was an important one, as the Society recognizes the importance of the CSME and the future role it will play in the Caribbean. “We recognize the advantage of embracing the opportunities that come with the CSME,” Mr. Jarrett said.

Dunbar McFarlane, General Manager of the National Building Society of Cayman (NBSC), a subsidiary of JNBS, applauded the Board Directors and the management team of St. Vincent Building and Loan Association for their commitment to offer quality service to their customers.
