Jamaica Manufacturers’ Association partners with the Jamaica USA Chamber of Commerce for Jamaican Business Expo – May 23-25

KINGSTON, Jamaica – As the Jamaica Manufacturers’ Association Ltd. (JMA) continues its campaign to promote brand Jamaica to the world, the JMA, in partnership with the Jamaica USA Chamber of Commerce (JAUSACC) is proud to host the JAUSACC/JMA Jamaican Business Expo 2007.

This first ever Expo of authentic Jamaican products and services in South Florida, will provide an opportunity for Jamaican-based manufacturers and other service suppliers to promote their products and services to the Diaspora and other international consumers.

As the JMA celebrates its 60th Anniversary, U.S.-based businesses are in for a treat as this Expo will focus on the resilience of Jamaican manufacturers and exporters by showcasing the range of quality goods and services produced against the odds in both the domestic and international marketplace.

The Jamaican Business Expo 2007 is being held under the theme “Buy Jamaican – Brand We Love,” a fitting theme for the JMA in fulfilling one of its major responsibilities, to continue the strengthening and exposure of local Jamaican-made brands.

President
The Jamaica Manufacturers’ Association Ltd.

The JMA is committed to promoting Brand Jamaica. This we have done through our “Buy Jamaican, Build Jamaica” Campaign and a number of regional and international trade missions. Throughout 2005, the JMA took the message of Buy Jamaican throughout the length and breadth of Jamaica, educating the populace on things Jamaican. In 2006, the JMA/JEA Expo was once again established as the Premier Trade Show in the Caribbean.

The May 23-25 Jamaican Business Exposition is therefore a climax of our journey to build brand loyalty both locally and internationally, and contribute to the growth of Jamaican businesses and their partners, wherever they may be.

As we continue to educate local and international customers on the Jamaican brands, we are cognizant that we have to work simultaneously to protect Brand Jamaica. Brand Jamaica is strong, it is intriguing and it sells very well. As a collective, we need to be vigilant in protecting this treasure with which we have been blessed, and pull all the stops to ensure that Brand Jamaica translates into profitability for Jamaican-based businesses and their overseas partners.

Thanks in advance to those who will take part in the May 23-25 Expo and Conference. If you have not yet registered, please contact the Jamaica USA Chamber at 1.877.528.7222.

We appreciate the support of the South Florida businesses and of our sponsors. We look forward to the meetings, the networking as you visit with us, and the keynote presentations from success stories such as that of Dr. Raymond Chang of C.I. Financials of Canada.

This Jamaican Business Expo promises to not only showcase Jamaican products and services, but it will sharpen our global perspectives, and further strengthen our resolve toward developing new trade relationships, with new tools to grow our respective businesses, and to building the Jamaican brand worldwide.

You cannot afford to miss it!
