MIAMI – In a drive to educate Jamaicans living in South Florida, the Jamaican Diaspora Foundation will extend its message of collaboration and communication in the diaspora on Saturday April 26th, 2008 at the 4th Annual Dennis Ziadie Cup Soccer Match.

The soccer match will be played at the Silver Shores Park , in Miramar. The Silver Shores Park is located at 15700 Pembroke Road in Miramar (Southeast corner of Dykes Road and Pembroke Road).

All Jamaicans are invited to attend and learn more about the continuing organizing effort among Jamaicans across the United States. Match attendees will learn more about the upcoming Jamaican Diaspora Conference in Jamaica on June 16-17, meet advisory Board members, and learn how they can join the various committees and share their expertise and Jamaican spirit.

“In his recent visit to the South Florida, Prime Minister Golding forewarned the Jamaican community that they should be ready to answer when the call comes for their expertise, knowledge, support, and investments. Our community is building stature and it is incumbent upon us to be organized in a way that is prepared to address challenges and to take advantage of opportunities in the near future”.

The Ziadie Cup is now a perfect place to connect with the minds and hearts of Jamaicans in a social setting,” stated Marlon Hill, Jamaican Diaspora Advisory Board member for the Southern United States.
