PHILADELPHIA – The 120th staging of the Penn Relays was hosted by the University of Pennsylvania at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, April 24-26.
The Jamaica College quartet, anchored by Devaughn Baker, clocked a blistering 39.72 seconds, one of the fastest times ever at the Penn Relays in the High School Boys 4x100m Championship Event.
Jamaican high school teams swept the top six spots, with the top five being among the eight best times ever run at the relay carnival.

Jamaica’s Minister of Sports Hon. Natalie Neita-Headley (second right) and Grace CEO Don Wehby (second from left) pose with Tony Keyes, one of two surviving members of the 1964 Kingston College sprint relay team, the first high school from Jamaica to compete at the Penn Relays, winning the 440-yard relay that year. The team was anchored by Lennox Miller, who won the Olympic silver medal four years later in the 100-metre. Also sharing the occasion was the team’s coach Donovan Davis.
