FT. LAUDERDALE – Zion Global Athletic in its ongoing efforts to support and heighten the profile of aspiring athletes, is producing an International Track & Field Meet, slated for Saturday, April 7, 2007, and will be held at the Westminister Sports Complex, Fort Lauderdale.
This Meet will be the inaugural launching for Z.G.A in continual hosting of International Track & Field Meets across the world.
Zion Global has embarked upon a plan to create outlets, raise awareness and opportunities for local and international athletes to showcase their God given talents to the world using one of the world most popular sport, Track & Field. Champion athletes will showcase their speed and agility with this Meet, which has always provided a beacon of hope for youths.
Many major companies and corporations have already supported and endorsed this event such as the Westminster Academy, H & M Health Care Service, Grace Foods Ltd., Real Deal Radio 93.5FM and Trends Bar & Grill.
Come out and see some of the Caribbean’s greatest Olympic track and field stars performing live for you before they start their journey to compete at The World Outdoor Championship in Japan, 2007.
Scheduled to compete will be Sheri Ann Brooks –Jamaica, Jacey Harper –Trinidad, Chris Williams –Jamaica, Peta Guy Dowdie-Jamaica, Charlene Fuller-Lauderdale High School, Nadine Faustin –Haiti and many more.
The community is invited to show their support to the youths on their journey to the sports “Hall of Fame”.
