Inspirational writer Iyanla Vanzant heads to Jamaica

In celebration of its fifth anniversary, Attorneys-at-Law, Nicholson Phillips, proudly hosts internationally acclaimed Author, Empowerment Specialist, Spiritual Counselor, Attorney-at-Law, Life Coach and Ordained Minister Iyanla Vanzant, for a series of events from July 21-24.

Nicholson Phillips, has chosen to invite Ms. Vanzant to Jamaica at this time as she is seen as an inspiring example of the limitlessness of personal achievement and because of her values in relation to God. Furthermore Nicholson Phillips notes that these values, coupled with integrity, closely identify with the mission of the law firm.

According to Lorna Phillips, Managing Partner at Nicholson Phillips, “Iyanla comes to Jamaica at the right time. As Jamaicans we are yearning for spiritual renewal and ways to achieve optimal levels of peace, love and mutual respect in these very trying times. Therefore we at the firm took the decision to invite this renowned author and life coach to Jamaica, as part of our contribution to national development.”

Ms. Vanzant will arrive in Jamaica on July 20 and is slated to participate in three public events during her visit. The events will kick off with a book signing at the Kingston Bookshop located in the Liguanea Post Mall at 12 noon on Thursday, July 21. Later that evening there will be a Public Lecture at the Jamaica Pegasus commencing at 6:30.

The events will conclude with the Wonder Woman Weekend at the Sunset Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios from Friday July 22, to Sunday July 24. This is a retreat aimed at putting participants in touch with emotional and mental patterning that may be inhibiting their ability to live up to their true potential. Nicholson Phillips is very enthusiastic about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Jamaican women to personally experience the dynamism of Iyanla Vanzant.

Ms. Vanzant is the renowned life coach from the NBC hit series “Starting Over”, and has been a regular contributor on The Oprah Show and to Essence Magazine, as well as the host of her own talk show “Iyanla.” As a writer she has authored many books. Among her best-selling titles are “Acts of Faith”, “In the Meantime”, “Yesterday, I Cried”, “Faith In The Valley” and “Spirit of A Man.” Part proceeds from the sale of tickets will go to the firm’s adopted charity: St. Andrew Parish Church Home for Girls, Kingston, Jamaica.
