MIAMI – Miami Jewish Health Systems (MJHS), one of South Florida’s largest providers of comprehensive healthcare, will hand out 1,200 turkeys to its staff for the 2010 Thanksgiving holiday.
This year’s turkey giveaway will be particularly meaningful since MJHS employs more than 500 Haitians and Haitian-Americans who will be celebrating their first Thanksgiving since the tragic earthquake in February 2010.
The turkey giveaway will take place on Tuesday, November 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 am and 2-4:30 pm at the Miami Jewish Health Systems, 5200 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami.
