These leaders have positively impacted the Haitian Community in the United States and in Haiti with many quality of life initiatives. It is important that the Diaspora acknowledges their contributions and show its appreciation,” said HADC President, Guithele Ruiz-Nicholas.
The Haitian American Democratic Club plays a key role in bridging the gap for the inclusion of Haitian Americans in the political arena, specifically: educating and registering new voters, hosting citizenship drives, organizing forums on issues of great importance to the community as well advocating for legislative issues supporting the democratic agenda.
Aside from the awards, the Haitian American Democratic Club plans a delightful cultural afternoon with Haitian gourmet cuisine and first class entertainment. Tickets for the event are $40.00; sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available on or before October 2nd.
