Grace Kennedy Remittance Service/Western Union celebrates 20th anniversary

SOUTH FLORIDA – Grace Kennedy Remittance Services (GKRS) through the brand Western Union is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary providing service Jamaica and its Diasporic communities.

Jamaican nationals in South Florida will join the GKRS staff in celebration at a Service of Thanksgiving to take place on Sunday (Nov. 7) starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Living Word Open Bible Church in Cooper City. Officiating Minister will be the Reverend Karl Francis.

GKRS Marketing Community Consultant, Ms. Hazel Maragh has expressed appreciation to the community indicating that the service of fellowship is a demonstration of gratitude for the unswerving support and patronage from the Diaspora over the years.

Ms. Maragh also explained that as the GRKS/WU continues to grow, the organization has also shown its support for community-based grassroots initiatives, and enhancement of the Caribbean-American environs working with churches, charitable and service groups, and alumni associations across the Diaspora.

Also in attendance will be GKRS Vice President for Marketing and Product Development, Mr. Noel Greenland, and Jamaica’s Consul General Sandra Grant Griffiths.

Several activities of celebration will continue in Jamaica and across the Diaspora with events to be staged at a later date in Toronto and New York.
