Global Future Leadership Jamaican Diaspora Conference: August 3-9, 2009
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Global Future Leadership Jamaican Diaspora Conference is scheduled to be held at the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies, St. Andrew, Jamaica, between August 3rd and 9th 2009
Theme of the conference is “Connecting Diaspora Future Leaders: Solidifying our Place in our Homelands and Jamaica.”
The purpose of the conference is to strengthen the process of building networks of Future Leaders in the Jamaican Diaspora towards more meaningful engagement in Jamaica’s development.
The 1st Global Future Leadership conference will feature thought provoking and exciting workshops on Leadership, Business, Governance, Education, Mentorship and more.
Additionally the conference will host the first Jamaican Diaspora Future Leaders International Expo, Grand Charity Ball, and a Day of Service (for special parish projects in Jamaican communities).
This conference will solidify that Future Leaders will play a critical role in leadership, governance and development of initiatives as an integral part of a progressive global plan for Jamaica and Jamaicans living in other countries.
This conference is limited to the age group 18-34 and does not in any way affect attendance at the 4th Biennial Jamaican Diaspora Conference, scheduled for Kingston, Jamaica, in June next year (2010).
