Fund established for Jamaican killed in Orlando office shooting

ORLANDO – Otis Beckford, 26, was one of six people shot and the only person killed in a shooting rampage at Reynolds, Smith & Hills, where he worked in Orlando last Friday, November 6. Born in Jamaica, Beckford moved to Orlando in search of work after being laid off from a job in West Palm Beach.

Otis was a well-respected employee who worked hard for his fiancée, Daneicka Coley, 24 and their 7-month-old daughter, Danielle. “He got along with everyone”, those who know him say. Family members are struggling to make sense of a loss that seemed so senseless.

A fund has been established at BANK OF AMERICA for funeral expenses and the on going care of the minor child of Otis Beckford. All contributions to the fund can be made at any BANK OF AMERICA to the “Otis N. Beckford Family Fund”. Please note, you do not need a bank account number just the name of the account exactly as listed above.
