FCCA Delivers Holiday Cheer to Underprivileged Children Throughout the Caribbean and Latin America

Pembroke Pines – The holidays will be more joyful for over 6,000 children because the FCCA, its member lines and partner destinations have begun the 18th annual Holiday Gift Project.

Through this venture, underprivileged children in 33 destinations throughout the Caribbean and Latin America will be treated to a very special holiday as they receive gifts delivered by crew members from the FCCA member cruise lines.

The FCCA Foundation has once again contributed toys that were selected by the destinations per age groups and genders. Member Lines are now loading the gifts onboard the vessels so they can serve as Santa while they deliver the presents to our partnering destinations, where festivities are planned to distribute the gifts, smiles and holiday cheer

As the events commence, notes of heartfelt gratitude are pouring in:

“We wish to again say thank you to the FCCA for the extraordinary generosity bestowed and for once again bringing holiday cheer to the nature isle, Dominica. The Discover Dominica Authority and the Ministry of Tourism are already fired up with anticipation for the 2013 FCCA Holiday Gift Project,” said Deslyn Simon, Discover Dominica Authority

Sanja Dubajic, Youth Director, Carnival Liberty, told: “We had a great time with the kids on the charity event-one new experience for all that shows even a smile or hug can make a difference in somebody’s life.
