Expedia Sees Nassau and Ocho Rios As Top Caribbean Destinations
Punta Cana, Nassau, and Ocho Rios are Top Caribbean Destinations
SEATTLE – Travel demand for these top Caribbean destinations has continued to increase on Expedia group sites.
Top in-demand markets in the Caribbean during the third quarter of this year (2016) when compared to the same time in 2015 included:
- Punta Cana, Dominican Republic with an increase of nearly 25 percent
- Nassau, Bahamas with an increase of nearly 20 percent
- Ocho Rios, Jamaica with an increase of more than 50 percent
While the United States continues to be the top feeder market for most of the Caribbean, Punta Cana has seen an increase of more than 30 percent from Brazilian travelers as well as an increase of 20 percent in travel demand from France in the third quarter of 2016 when compared to third quarter of 2015.
