Don’t Let Trump Do to South Florida What He Did to Atlantic City
Leaders to Discuss Donald Trump’s Failed Record, Unethical Business Practices in South Florida; Contrast Against New Clinton Policy to Protect and Support Small Businesses
SOUTH FLORIDA – On Thursday, July 7, Miramar Mayor Wayne Messam, SEIU Florida President Monica Russo, and Doral Councilwoman Sandra Ruiz will hold a press conference to discuss Donald Trump’s failed business record and its impact on South Florida residents ahead of his visit to Miami on Friday.
The press conference follows Secretary Clinton’s speech in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Trump’s multiple bankruptcies and the many victims of his irresponsible business dealings.
In 2009, the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Ft. Lauderdale ran out of money and went under, leaving investors with hundreds of thousands of dollars in losses – yet another example of Trump’s numerous failed real estate deals and business ventures in cities around the country.
Local leaders will gather outside the site of the failed project to send Trump a clear message: his proposed policies and unscrupulous practices would hurt South Floridians and our local economy.
