Destination Jamaica Benefits From Partnership With Expedia.com and Hotels.com
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is reporting tremendous success as a result of its partnership with Expedia. The JTB points out that for the third quarter July through September 2009, Expedia.com and Hotels.com have seen an increase of 48 percent in room night sales for Jamaica over the corresponding period last year. For the month of September, Expedia.com and Hotels.com is reporting an increase of 65 percent over September 2008.
Statistics released by Expedia.com and Hotels.com, both among the leading producers of visitors to Jamaica, indicate that room night sales for October to December 2009 is currently pacing over 40 percent and should this booking trend continue is expected to increase by year end. Expedia.com and Hotels.com are reporting a promising year ahead with bookings as far as July 2010.
