Marie Gill, whose company, M. Gill & Associates, operates the MBDA Business Center in South Florida, is pleased that the community is responding so positively to this offer.  “Registration is going very well,” she said. “The MBDA Business Center is highly focused on growing minority-owned businesses.  Our aim is to create and spread wealth in the minority communities, to help small and minority businesses develop, grow and create jobs.” To accomplish this, the MBDA Business Center sources financing and contracts, and provides the coaching, technical and managerial services small/minority businesses need to take advantage of opportunities in new local and overseas markets. We know that small and minority businesses are the engines that drive the local and national economies; and we also know that there are tremendous disparities in the services and opportunities that are usually available to them. Hence, it becomes our passion to serve in this fashion,” she said.

Aiming to help address these disparities, the Conference will feature an all-star lineup of speakers and exhibitors, representing the who’s who of service and financing providers to small and minority business exporters.  Featured speakers will include Enterprise Florida, Global Business Center of San Antonio, Miami-Dade County’s International Trade Unit, Export-Import Bank of the U.S., Florida Export Finance Corp. and Drake Financial Group.  Exhibitors will include MBDA Business Center, U.S. Small Business Administration, Global Trade Chamber, Greater Miami Chamber, Miami Free Zone, Camacol, the Beacon Council, the Port of Miami, Jamaica USA Chamber of Commerce, Accion USA, Greater Miami Business Growth Fund, Miami-Dade Aviation, City of Miami, and several others.

Beginning at 9:00 a.m., presenters will discuss new markets in various countries in Africa, Asia, Central and South America, Canada, and the Caribbean. The Export-Import Bank of the United States, Florida Export Finance Corporation (FEFC) and Drake Financial Group will present new opportunities in export financing and insurance. Attendees will also learn about actual contracting opportunities in various industries including Automotive, Construction, Aviation, IT, Professional Services, Power Africa Development Projects and much more.

The event is FREE to small businesses.  Discounted Parking fee is $12 per vehicle.  To register for this event visit or email: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/new-opportunities-in-exports-tickets-15671261164 or call 305.576.7888  Or   [email protected]
