Commissioner Holness to Provide Welcome Remarks at Lauderhill Chamber’s Women of Distinction Awards Breakfast

BROWARD COUNTY – In honor of Women’s History Month, the Lauderhill Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) will host their Second Annual Women of Distinction Awards Breakfast on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Woodlands Golf and Country Club located at 4600 Woodlands Boulevard, Tamarac, 33319. The Awards Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. with Commissioner Holness providing welcome remarks.
This year’s ten LRCC’s Women of Distinction recipients cover a vast spectrum of industries, including health, law, social services, and business development. Honorees include: Dinah Stephenson, Chief Administrative Officer, D. Stephenson Construction; V. McGowan Arscott, PHD., OD., Retired Publicist and Community Activist; Janet Bullard, CEO, Chamber Health Plan; Yolanda Cash Jackson, Attorney, Becker & Poliakoff; Phoebe R. Francois, Magistrate, 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County; Dawn Stagliano, Director, Government Affairs & Community Investment, Comcast Broward County Florida Region; Gabrielle Finley-Hazel, CEO, Florida Medical Center; Sandra Bernard-Bastien, CCO, Children’s Services Council of Broward County; Aude Sicared, Managed Healthcare Analyst, Jackson Health System; Paola Isaac Baraya, MSC., Economic Development Specialist, International Trade, Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development.
During the Breakfast, the LRCC will honor each recipient’s professional and civic achievements, with one of the ten recipients to be chosen as LRCC’s Woman of the Year. “Last year’s inaugural breakfast was standing room only, with over 200 attendees. All of this year’s recipients are truly worthy to be Woman of the Year, the work they do in our community is commendable. Events such as the Women of Distinction Awards Breakfast are one of many reasons I started the Lauderhill Chamber many years ago,” said Holness.
