CNN Special: ”Black in America” Community Forum Presented by 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale
FORT LAUDERDALE – The 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale, in partnership with WHQT-FM 105 HOT 105 will host a Community Forum on July 24, 2008 to view and discuss the CNN documentary special: Black in America, The Black Man.
“Our expectation is that the documentary will be thought-provoking and spark much-needed dialogue regarding the roles of Black men in America,” said Dennis Wright, President of the 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale.
As a result of the program’s content, Mr. Wright says, “It is not only appropriate for us to host this event; we feel it is our responsibility to do so as Black men and leaders of our community.”
The Black In America Community Forum is a free event and open to the public. Seating is limited and will be available on a first come basis.
The Black In America Community Forum will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 from 8:00pm until 12:00am at Dave and Buster’s restaurant in the Oakwood Plaza located in Hollywood, Florida (off the I-95 Sheridan-East exit).
There will be a panel of community leaders on hand to discuss the documentary.
Confirmed panelists include nationally renowned author, and nationally-syndicated radio host Michael Baisden from The Michael Baisden Show (heard locally Mon-Fri 3p-7p on HOT 105-FM) and Dennis Wright – President, 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale.
