Celebrity Soccer Cultural Fest Adds Reggae Concert, “Gospel Meets Culture”
FORT LAUDERDALE – The eleventh annual Celebrity Soccer Cultural Fest will host a major reggae concert with the theme “Gospel Meets Culture”.
This year’s event is scheduled for Memorial Day, Monday May 29th, at the Central Broward Regional Park, 3700 NW 11th Pl in Fort Lauderdale.
“Gospel Meets Culture,” will feature the cultural princess Etana, Rock Steady great Ken Booth, reggae crooners Mikey Spice, Lukie D, Kashief Lindo, and Gramps Morgan (Morgan Heritage).
Plus, representing reggae-gospel Sister Pat, Jabez, Kukudoo, Second Chance, Adrian Cunningham, Pennisilyn and DJ Nicholas.
Top celebrities from the GOSPEL and REGGAE fraternities, will thrill Soccer fans with their skills, when the Sinners VS the Saved, show off their moves in a grueling soccer match.
This family event will offer a supervised kid zone equipped with all the amenities to keep the children happy and occupied. Children under 12 are admitted free.
Vendors will be on hand to serve mouth watering Caribbean food such as Jerk Pork, Jerk Chicken, Cow Foot, Oxtail, Escovitch Fish, Steamed Fish, Brown Stewed Fish, Grill Lobster, Curried Chicken, Curried Goat, Rice and Peas, Ackee & Salt-fish. Plus, The Jelly Man, the Peanut Man, and the Frozen Lemonade Man, will be on hand.
Pre-sold tickets are $25 and are available at selected Caribbean outlets.
Gates will open at 3 PM. Soccer Match 4 PM. Concert 5 PM
Veteran promoter Luther Mack of Mack-Ace Promotions will produce this year’s event.
