Caribbean American Heritage Foundation, To Host the “Trinbago Village” at the ING Miami Marathon

MIAMI – The Caribbean American Heritage Florida Inc. (CAHFI), will produce a “Trinbago Village” within their Community Fun Zone during the ING Miami Marathon on Saturday, January 30th, 2011 at 1101 Brickell Ave, downtown Miami from 7am to 12noon. The “Trinbago Village” will offer attendees an opportunity to experience an array of culinary delights and culture from the Twin Isle of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Twin Isle is known for its richness in pageantry, color and tradition. CAHFI is continuing its mission of providing a platform that will engage the South Florida community by highlighting the art, music, cuisine and cultural dynamics of Caribbean Americans here in the United States.

Attendees will have an opportunity to savor the mouth watering flavor of salt fish, smoked herring, accra, corn soup, mauby and sweet bread and other delicacies of Trinidad and Tobago. Music lovers will enjoy a live deejay playing the sweet sounds of the Caribbean’s Soca, Calypso and Steel Pan music.

“This is the first event of CAHFI for 2011 and we are extremely proud to feature and give voice to our heritage that is forged by a history of European influences blended with a rich traditions of African, Asian and Indian to create a synthesis of talent vibrancy and creativity.
