Caribbean-American Attorney appointed to City Of Miami Civilian Investigative Panel (CIP)

MIAMI — Caribben-American Attorney, Michelle Delancy, of delancyhill, P.A. was recently appointed to serve as a Board Member of the City of Miami’s Civilian Investigative Panel.

The Civilian Investigative Panel (CIP), created by City Ordinance, provides for independent and impartial citizens’ oversight of the Miami Police Department. In addition to a number of other duties, the CIP has the power to conduct investigations, inquiries and evidentiary hearings into allegations of police misconduct, make factual determinations, facilitate resolutions and propose recommendations to the City Manager and Chief of Police, review and make recommendations to City officials and staff.
