Caribbean Airlines Cargo offers third freighter service
PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – Hard on the heels of the launch of new passenger flights to South Florida, Caribbean Airlines has now further augmented service to that market with the addition of a new “third” cargo service to Trinidad from Miami starting on Wednesday, June 11th – the air cargo hub of the region.
This is in direct response to an increased demand for cargo airlift between Trinidad and the United States.
With the addition of this service, Caribbean Airlines Cargo now operates three services per week with leased wide bodied air-freighters, each with a capacity in excess of 40 thousand kilograms. Two freighters currently fly from Miami to Trinidad via Barbados returning non-stop to Miami on Tuesdays and Fridays, while the Airline’s new third service flies non-stop to Port-of-Spain from Miami and back on Wednesdays.
The new service is scheduled for an early departure from Piarco International Airport which ensures that fresh goods and produce can be delivered rapidly to Miami during business hours.
This third freighter underscores the Airline’s growing role in the air-freight industry between Trinidad & Tobago and the United States.
Caribbean Airlines has responded to the needs of our customers who have expressed a desire to see an increase in our freighter service to the US as they depend on our reliable and punctual service as well as our expertise in handling cargo. The Airline has also enhanced the Cargo service, offering customers the option to track their shipments online from the comfort of their office or home through our tracing and tracking application.
The launch of our third freighter today and the facility to offer an enhanced service is an exciting time for Caribbean Airlines and our Cargo clients.
