Broward County Supervisor Of Elections’ Office wins National Award

FT. LAUDERDALE – The Broward County Supervisor of Elections’ Office has found a new way to remind the county to vote in the Primary Election. This means that adults will not be the only ones wearing a sticker this election cycle.

On August 25th, every student, regardless of grade or if they are from charter, private or public schools will be carrying a sticker that says: “Please remember to vote tomorrow, August 26th”.

Broward County Supervisor Of Elections’ Office wins National AwardAll schools and most daycares are cooperating with this initiative that the Supervisor of Elections’ Office has created. The Broward County Supervisor of Elections’ Office believes that the voting process is about getting everyone involved in the process–regardless of their age.

Due to these types of creative initiatives, The Elections Center, which is the National Association for Elections’ Officials, has recently awarded The Broward County Supervisor of Elections’ Office, the Stars and Stripes Award for its outstanding partnership with the Broward County Schools.

The Supervisor of Elections Office has been proud to work side by side with the Broward County Schools for many years and feels honored to know that this national best practices award is one out of five awards that the local Elections’ offices from all over the Untied States have an opportunity to win.

The Elections Center is a nationally recognized nonprofit that is dedicated to promoting, preserving and improving democracy and whose members are almost exclusively government employees whose profession is to serve in voter registration and elections administration.
