LAUDERHILL – BIG Broward Cricket Academy is now under way at Central Broward Regional Park & Stadium in Lauderhill. The academy holds sessions on Saturdays and Sundays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Registration is open to cricket players of all levels of ability and features certified coaches.
The academy is part of BIG League USA’s efforts to promote cricket at the only cricket stadium in the United States certified by the International Cricket Council. Big League USA has also initiated the BIG Broward Cricket League at the park. Eight teams compete weekly on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings over the course of six weeks, culminating in the grand finale on December 18, with $3,500 in prize money being distributed.
