BankUnited’s Tanya Ragbeer receives Community Trailblazer Award

BankUnited’s manager of the Lauderdale Lakes branch, Tanya Ragbeer, received the Community Trailblazer Award from the Fort Lauderdale Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Youth Council.

Ragbeer was honored for her dedication and work to benefit minorities and children in North Broward at an awards ceremony on Saturday, June 11, at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel.

In addition to her work with the NAACP, Ragbeer serves as president of the Greater Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce (GCACC). She also works closely with Lauderdale Lakes Commissioner Hazelle Rogers, a fellow GCACC board member, on a number of economic initiatives and social events.
