Attorney Jeff Cazeau appointed to Miami-Dade County Black Affairs Advisory Board

CORAL GABLES  – Becker & Poliakoff is pleased to announce that attorney Jeff P.H. Cazeau has been appointed to serve as a member of the Miami-Dade County Black Affairs Advisory Board (BAAB). Mr. Cazeau was appointed to the position by County Commissioner Jean Monestime.

As a member of the BAAB, Mr. Cazeau will serve in an advisory capacity to the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners. Established in 1980, the BAAB advocates for the social, economic, political and educational needs of the diverse Black World Community in Miami-Dade County, while advancing the quality of life for these residents in a dedicated and responsive manner.

Each BAAB member was selected by and represents a Commissioner from each district and serves at the will of that commissioner.

Mr. Cazeau, a shareholder in the Government Law & Lobbying Practice Group in Coral Gables, serves as the City Attorney for the City of Florida City, Florida, and represents other municipal governments and boards. Mr. Cazeau also lobbies on behalf of private clients on the state, federal and local level.

Mr. Cazeau has a national practice assisting small and mid-sized companies obtain and keep contracts with federal, state and local government entities. He is experienced in assisting businesses in dealing with the complexities of securing Women, Minority and Veteran Business Enterprise certification programs through various state, local and other certifying entities.
