MIRAMAR – The City of Miramar’s Ansin Sports Complex will host its first Athletic Walk of Remembrance (AWOR). This event, which is part of the City’s Black History Month Celebration, is specifically in honor of African-American Athletes and civil rights pioneers.
This event will inspire youth and adults to come enjoy an evening of family fun while educating our youth.
This event, which consists of young talent from throughout the City of Miramar, will include music, bounce houses, fun and games. There will also be athletic stations and a cheerleading station where children can learn techniques and skill building.
The fun will begin at 2:30pm and end at 6:30pm on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Ansin Sports Complex, 10801 Miramar Blvd., Miramar, FL 33025.
Following the AWOR there will be an evening Black History event at the Miramar Town Center, 2300 Civic Center Place, Miramar, Florida.
Both events are FREE, open to the public and will have food and beverages available for purchase.
