MIAMI – The St. Kitts and Nevis Association of Florida, Inc. (SNAF) will be hosting the 14th Celebration of Anguilla, Nevis and St. Kitts Associations Reunion (ANSAR) from Friday, June 18th to Sunday, June 20th, 2010. The event will be held at the Hilton Miami Downtown, centrally located in the performing arts district; overlooking Biscayne Bay and the downtown skyline.
ANSAR 2010 MIAMI will be a 3 day reunion-conference of individuals and organizations of nationals from Anguilla, Nevis and St. Kitts together with families and friends residing all over the world. The reunion idea was conceptualized in 1983 in Montreal, Canada and the first reunion being held a year later in Montreal.
When the reunion started, they were held annually, but in 1988, the decision was made to hold them bi-annually. However, in the years 1996-1998 there were plans to have the reunion in the Virgin Islands, but the series of hurricanes prevented those plans from coming to fruition.
Over the years, ANSAR has been staged in New York (1985), Toronto, Canada (1986), Buffalo, New York (1987) Basseterre, St. Kitts (1988), Toronto, Canada (1990), Birmingham, England (1992), New York (1994), Toronto, Canada (2000), Montreal, Canada (2002), Birmingham, England (2004), New York (2006) and Basseterre, St. Kitts (2008).
SNAF is honored to have been selected to host this bi-annual event for the first time in Miami.
ANSAR serves as a forum to renew and strengthen old relationships and create new friendships, advertise or promote your local, regional and international business. It also fosters the growth or contacts and networking and provides opportunities to participate in a number of collaborative activities.
