Air Jamaica increases air lift for holiday travelers

KINGSTON, Jamaica – In preparation for the busy holiday season ahead, Air Jamaica announces today that it has added additional flights to handle the needs of increased travelers from December 15, 2007 through January 8, 2008.

Throughout the holidays and peak season travel times, Air Jamaica has added over 50 additional flights between New York JFK and Jamaica. The airline has increased its departures from JFK to Grenada to 6 weekly nonstop flights (departing every day except Wednesday) up from 4 weekly 1-stop flights.

Passengers traveling to St. Lucia from JFK will benefit from 6 weekly 1-stop flights (every day except Wednesday), an increase from 3 weekly flights. Daily flights from JFK to Barbados (as well as daily flights through the airline’s Montego Bay hub with continuing service to Kingston) will continue as well.

Air Jamaica has also increased its connecting flights from Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami and Philadelphia to the Caribbean from its hub in Montego Bay as follows:

• 6 weekly flights Montego Bay to St. Lucia (daily except Wednesday – up from 3 weekly flights)

• 6 weekly flights from Montego Bay to Grenada (daily except Wednesday – up from 4 weekly flights)

In addition, flights from Newark to Montego Bay will continue on to Kingston with no change of plane during this time period.
