Usain Bolt ready to run in Manchester

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s Olympic champion Usain Bolt’s will make his appearance in Manchester this weekend. Bolt resumed training last Friday, May 8 and will be ready to run, his coach Glen Mills said.

“He ran in spikes for the first time on Monday, May 11, and looks OK and will be fine for Manchester”, Mills said.

Bolt’s participation in the meet was in doubt after he was in a car accident on April 29 and had minor surgery to have some thorns removed from his foot.

Bolt is a big Manchester United fan and is looking forward to meeting the team in Manchester and will also be introduced to the crowd during halftime during a home game against Arsenal on Saturday. He will also attend the Manchester United Players Awards on Sunday night where he will present the ‘Fans Player of the Year’.
