Air Jamaica eases travel restrictions due to Hurricane Wilma
Kingston, Jamaica – Powerful Hurricane Wilma is forecasted to affect a number of Air Jamaica destinations in the coming days.
As a result, the airline is relaxing it rules allowing passengers traveling to and from the affected areas to change their travel itineraries without penalty.
The affected destinations and dates are:
Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Orlando – October 21 to 25
Havana Saturday – October 22
Grand Cayman, Sunday – October 23
Nassau, Monday – October 24
All changes are subject to the following conditions:
Passengers must already have a ticket issued on/before October 20, 2005.
Passengers are guaranteed the same fare as they were originally ticketed and within the applicable fare parameters but with conditions.
A request for deferral of travel must be made prior to departure of the original travel date.
Tickets with an expiry date during the above-mentioned period will be extended for travel within 3 days of the original expiry date.
Passengers who elect not to travel may be issued a voucher for future travel on Air Jamaica for the full value of the ticket without penalty.
