TV ONE showcases the beauty of Bermuda

HAMILTON, Bermuda – A high-profile television show featuring Bermuda will air locally in Bermuda this week on VSB TV 11 after airing in the United States to an audience potentially in the millions.

“TV One on One in Paradise” with Cathy Hughes will air Thursday, August 21st at 8:00pm.

Veteran broadcaster Cathy Hughes sat down with Premier Dr. Ewart F. Brown at Camden to talk in-depth about his goals for Bermuda and its people. Premier Brown also spoke candidly about steps to revitalize tourism.

The intimate chat with the Premier gave Ms Hughes some much-needed time off her feet after an island-wide tour with Chairman of the Tourism Board, E. Michael Jones. Mr. Jones served as TV One’s personal tour guide, taking the host and crew everywhere from Crystal Caves to the Royal Naval Dockyard to shopping along Front Street.

The 40-minute program showcases Bermuda magnificently.

The program premiered across the United States on TV One August 3rd, 2008.

TV One has an audience of 44 million households.

The program will re-air on TV One September 14th, 2008.

TV One has granted permission to broadcasters in Bermuda to air the program on commercial television.

A TV One executive summarizes the program this way: “Dr. Brown, a Howard University-trained physician, had a long and much-honored career in public service-oriented medicine in the United States before returning home to a life of public service in his native Bermuda. He talks with Ms Hughes about his childhood, the influence his experiences in the U.S. had on his political and community service career in Bermuda, what makes Bermuda such a unique place to live and visit and much more in this revealing interview.”
