MIRAMAR – On Thursday, February 19th, Miramar Commissioner, Wayne Messam will host a townhall meeting on the $60-million-dollar bond improvement.

The meeting will address resident inquiries regarding capital projects planned and budgeted in the city. The City of Miramar has made significant investments in upgrading infrastructure, public safety and park facilities and this meeting is to inform the residents about the projects.

Residents in attendance will hear from Commissioner Messam and City administration as they highlight projects benefiting Historic Miramar and other neighborhoods throughout the city. Projects include redevelopment and beautification projects in Historic Miramar, renovations to Shirley Branca, Lake Shore and River Run Parks and several infrastructure improvements to improve the quality of life for our residents.

“I am excited about the many projects beginning in Miramar addressing important Public Safety, Parks & Recreation and Infrastructure priorities that have been put off for too long. Miramar is bouncing back and all of Miramar will benefit from the projects funded by 2013 Revenue Bond and grants received from Broward County. I encourage all residents to attend,” said Commissioner Messam.

The community update meeting is being held at the Miramar Multi-Service Complex, 6700 Miramar Parkway on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 6PM – 9PM.
