100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale 2nd Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament Scholarship Fundraiser

FT. LAUDERDALE – The 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale will be having their second annual Celebrity Golf Tournament June 25th, 2001. The purpose of this tournament is to raise scholarship funds for young men throughout Broward County.

The 100 Black Men’s Leadership Academy has been in existence for six years and they continue to see exponential growth as young men voluntarily seek mentorship and guidance from our community mentors serving as role models.

“We are very proud of the fact that every young man that has been in our Leadership program for 2 years or more has continued his education by going to college”, says Dennis Wright, president of the 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale. “This accomplishment is due to our ability to change the mindset of our youth were they see the value of an education”.

Wright is personally requesting financial support from the South Florida community by participating in their Celebrity Golf Tournament either as a sponsor, player, participant or donation.

The tournament will include 18 holes of Golf at the Westin Diplomat Golf Resort in Hollywood, Florida, followed by a scholarship luncheon. You can choose to play golf which includes the luncheon, attend the luncheon only, or make a donation. Either way, your support is very much needed and appreciated. “I personally thank you for your support and hope to see you June 25th” states Wright.
