The Democratic candidate is running to replace Republican US Senator Marco Rubio. Rubio vacated his seat in April 2015 to run for the United States Presidency.  “Floridians are hungry for a leader who is connected to the community – who is solutions oriented and will passionately advocate for those who do not seem to have a voice,” said Keith.  “What this means for this election cycle is that people are ready to shake things up.  They want more than just a vague promise of change.  They want well-articulated solutions. They are tired of the status-quo.  I am not the status-quo.”

Keith’s hands-on, grassroots approach has been the crux of her success thus far in her candidacy.  She is on par with incumbent Congressman Alan Grayson.  Latest polls released by SurveyUSA, conducted exclusively for Bay News 9 in Tampa, FL, indicate that Pam Keith holds an admirable 11% of the vote, while “other” and “undecided” combine for 46% of the vote.  Grayson polls at 16% while Patrick Murphy polls at 27%.

Keith is an accomplished corporate attorney who earned her law degree at Boston College.  She is a second generation Navy Veteran, who while serving, was given the position of Officer in Charge of the legal office detachment in Bahrain.  She provided legal services to the military units that were responsible for overseeing Saddam Hussein’s compliance with sanctions and weapons inspections.

Keith, the daughter of a US Diplomat and Ambassador, spent her life throughout the world and across   the   United   States – Keith sees America clearly and knows its power.   She has experienced its promise and has witnessed its challenges.  Her detailed understanding of the Middle-East and of national security issues will be a welcomed addition to the U.S. Senate.  She will be honored on Saturday, May 14, 2016 with other recipients at the Hilton Miami Airport.
