Kingston, Jamaica – No one person, community, or effort is alone in the fight against breast cancer. Tricia Romeo, Yoplait Brand Manager expressed that “Wisynco’s commitment to the fight against breast cancer is an important part of how give back to our community.”

Mrs. Yulit Gordon, Administrative Director at the Jamaica Cancer Society, shared that breast cancer continues to be the leading cause of cancer mortality among Jamaican women. The current mortality rate now stands at 40.1 per 100,000 women between the ages of 40 and 65. The Jamaica Cancer Society continues to increase the level of awareness about this disease through its national education and public awareness programmes, it also offers screening for early detection as well as counseling and support to persons battling the disease and their respective families.
