VP Records Releases Universal Message Volume 3

VP Records new release, Univeral Message Volume 3 2005 has signaled a resurgence in traditional ‘roots’ music. The shifting tastes in Jamaica towards ‘conscious’ lyrics signal a trend which could play out on the International scene given Jamaica’s influence.

Showcasing the best in contemporary conscious reggae, Universal Message Vol.3 presents some of the best new music in the genre. With roots in rhythm and reality in verse, these selections will remind the listener of reggae’s innovative past while expressing vision’s of Jamaica’s future.

Key tracks on the album include I Wayne’s “Living in Love”, “Jah Bless Me” from Jah Cure, Fanton Mojo “Hungry” and Richie Spice’s “Blood Again”. These artists represent reggae’s next wave, speaking to a world audience with a universal message.

VP Records is set to release albums from I Wayne hopefully by April and Marcia Griffiths, Jah Cure and Chezidek on March 29th. Warrior King’s album is set to be released on May 10th and many more to come in 2005.
