Reggae, Soca, Dancehall and Calypso artists will be awarded top honors at this illustrious Caribbean award music show. There will be 32 categories of awards given and they include, “Living Legend Awards,” “Life Time Achievement Award,” and “The Louise Bennett Distinction award,” which this year’s recipient will be Oliver Samuels. The 12th Annual Reggae Soca Music awards will feature a new category this year, “The Vintage Artist Award,” which will be given to The Melodians.

Reggae Soca Awards in association with the Broward County Library is also proud to announce the launching of the 1st annual Reggae Song competition, which will kick off on Saturday, June 18, at a location to be announced. For more information log on to www.reggaesongcompetition.com.
On Friday, September 2, there will also be a Music Seminar, for people interested in various aspects of the music industry. The seminar will be held at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center.
This year’s show promises to be one of the best “Reggae Events of the Year”.
