Tobago is hosting the Seventh Annual Caribbean Conference on “Sustainable Tourism Development” from April 26 to 29. The Conference will focus on the initiatives taken in the Caribbean to contribute to the sustainable development of the tourism industry and the potential use of ecotourism as an instrument to achieve the goal.
“Keeping the Right Balance” is the overall motto of the conference which acknowledges that the sustainability of tourism in the Caribbean requires proper co-ordination and the co-operation of all stakeholders. The conference also addresses and recognizes the need to maintain the balance between economic, environmental and social development.
The conference has been organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), in collaboration with the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) and the Government of Trinidad and Tobago. For more conference information and registration forms, visit www.onecaribbean.org.
