The City of Miami Welcomes Global Caribbean Exhibit

MIAMI – Join the City of Miami, in conjunction with Culturesfrance, and the Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance for the opening of Global Caribbean, an exhibit that highlights contemporary artists from the Caribbean on Friday, December 4th from 10am to 12noon at the Little Haiti Cultural Center, 260 NE 59th Terrace.

Welcome remarks from the City of Miami, Council General of France and Curator Edouard Duval-Carrie will be from 10:00-10:30 and the exhibit opens immediately following.

The exhibit, curated by Edouard Duval-Carrie, an internationally renowned artist and Miami resident, is displaying at the newly built Little Haiti Cultural Center.

“It’s a natural for this exhibit to happen in Miami for the city has become home to the largest diaspora from those island nations,” said Duval-Carrie.

Global Caribbean will open to the public (FREE) from December 4th through March 30, 2010 and has been selected as an official exhibit of Art Basel 09’.
