The Caribbean American Democratic Club announces its 6th Annual Community Builders’ Awards Luncheon
On Sunday, August 28 at 2pm, the Caribbean American Democratic Club (CADC) will be hosting its 6th Annual Community Builders’ Awards Luncheon at the Westin Ft. Lauderdale Hotel, 400 Corporate Drive (I-95 and Cypress Creek Road) in Ft. Lauderdale.
This year’s honorees will be former City of Deerfield Beach Commissioner Gwyndolen Clarke-Reed for her community political involvements; City of Lauderdale Lakes Commissioner Hazelle P. Rogers for her numerous activities and community involvement; and Simone Ruiz Narcis for her active role in the area of education.
Luncheon guest speakers will be the three Democratic gubernatorial candidates, US Congressman Jim Davis; The Honorable Scott Maddox, Former Chairperson of the State Democratic Party; and Florida State Senator Rod Smith. Keynote speaker will be the newly elected Florida State Democratic Chairperson, Karen L. Thurman.
“Victory in 2006 is our goal, and keeping Florida “blue” will certainly enable us to accomplish this goal” says, Geri Peterkin, President.
