Clean Lines and simple minimalist design adorn its fifteen rooms, which have enormous white beds, fluffy white towels, teak chaises, mottled marble floors and flowing curtains. Some have terraces with hammocks. All the rooms are air conditioned and mini-bars, a safety deposit box and satellite TV. Although fabulously designed, in-room bathrooms are separated by a flowing curtain with some tubs exposed in the room. The hotel is two blocks from the beach.

Hotel Escencia

Twenty-nine suites with furnishings crafted from native wood, twelve-foot high ceilings, extra-large bathrooms, high-tech audio-visual equipment and in-room high-speed Internet access. Located on a two-mile stretch of Playa Xpu-Ha, one of the most secluded white-sand beaches in Riviera Maya, this 50-acre resort is built around ‘Casa Grande,’ a spectacular three-story, nine-suite Great House. Twenty-nine luxury villas, each with a private pool, were carefully constructed with natural wood and stones indigenous to the area. Twenty-six tastefully decorated one-, two- and three-bedroom air-conditioned beachfront condominium units, each with a full size kitchen and dining area, satellite TV, telephone and safe. Each Villa has a large ocean front terrace and breathtaking view of the Mexican Caribbean. Garden level studios with kitchen and all other amenities are also available. Twenty-two rooms and cabanas are nestled between two sandy beaches. Wireless internet access is now available in all outside areas. There is an internet cafe open from 7 AM to 11 PM. Cabañas are based on traditional Mayan style, with thatched palm roofs. Some are raised on stilts above the sandy beach.
