Starwood Hotel makes landmark entry in Bermuda with debut of the St. Regis Bermuda

HAMILTON, Bermuda – Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) today announced the next stop on its global expedition with plans to open a new St. Regis hotel in Bermuda, marking the company’s and hotel brand’s debut on this exclusive island.

Scheduled to open in 2013, The St. Regis Bermuda and The Residences at The St. Regis Bermuda will be located in the heart of downtown Hamilton, Bermuda’s picturesque seaside capital and bustling international business hub. The first major luxury hotel to open in downtown Hamilton in more than 50 years, The St. Regis Bermuda will feature approximately 140 exquisitely appointed guest rooms and suites, approximately 80 exclusive, serviced residences, a Remède Spa, two signature restaurants, a wine bar and library, and a rooftop conservatory.

Owned by Par La Ville Hotel and Residences, Ltd., a partnership between Virginia-based Unified Resorts, Ltd. and New York-based Sagewood Investments, LLC, The St. Regis Bermuda will offer unparalleled luxury, highly personalized service and refined elegance at one of the world’s best addresses.

Nestled in the center of Hamilton’s dynamic business district and just a short distance from Bermuda’s stunning beaches and azure waters, The St. Regis Bermuda will be the ideal destination for both business and leisure guests. A leading economic and political hub, Hamilton offers guests and residences an appealing mix of specialty shopping, restaurants, cultural centers and landmark corporations.

St. Regis guests and residences will have exclusive access to the nearby St. Regis Beach Club, where they can unwind amidst sparkling pink sand beaches, breathtaking ocean views, lush landscapes and luxury amenities including a salt-water infinity-edge pool, private serviced cabanas, indoor recreation room and signature spa services. Guests and residences can indulge their senses at the Beach Club Restaurant featuring culinary delights inspired by local ingredients and flavors.

The Residences at The St. Regis Bermuda will include approximately 80 luxurious Residences within the hotel. Following in the tradition of the legendary St. Regis New York, The St. Regis Bermuda will feature distinguished signature elements of the St. Regis brand including the iconic St. Regis Butler Service, bespoke guest experiences and luxury accommodations tailored to meet global travelers’ needs. Trained in the English tradition, the butlers provide ever-present, yet unobtrusive service while anticipating guest needs and customizing each guest’s stay according to his or her specific tastes and preferences.
