St. Lucia to host musical extravaganza featuring Beres Hammond

Rodney Bay Village Music Bash to be held April 23 to 25

RODNEY BAY, St. Lucia – St. Lucia is mounting a star-studded three-day Caribbean musical extravaganza, featuring the Caribbean’s top calypso, soca and reggae musicians, from April 23 to 25, 2007.

Starting Monday, April 23 at the recently unveiled Digicel Coco Cabana in Rodney Bay, the Rodney Bay Village Music Bash opens with Trinidad and Tobago’s David Rudder, one of the Caribbean’s most prolific singers and songwriters ever, along with Jamaican Beres Hammond, reggae music’s master of lovers’ rock.

The following day, Tuesday, April 24, visitors and locals alike will dance to the rhythms of Sean Paul, the Jamaican Grammy-winning ambassador of dancehall reggae, who will share the stage with Trinidadian Queen of Soca Destra, known for her high energy performances and vocal skills.

The concert series closes on Wednesday, April 25 with Grammy winner Shaggy, and Grammy nominee Maxi Priest, the internationally celebrated lovers’ rock singer.

Sponsored by Coco Resorts, TurnKey Productions, Omni Entertainment and Digicel’s Coco Cabana, tickets are US$40 per show for any tickets purchased before April 20 (limit of two per person).
