St. Kitts and Nevis Nationals Celebrate Independence in New York with PM Harris

NEW YORK – Three Hundred nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis turned out to celebrate St. Kitts and Nevis’ 35th Anniversary of Independence with the Prime Minister on Thursday, September 27, 2018.

The grand cocktail reception and dance took place at Eastwood Manor, 3371 Eastchester Road, Bronx, New York.

The event was graced with the presence of the Honourable Prime Minister, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, M.P., J.P., the Honourable Mark Brantley, Ambassador Penelope Beckles, Permanent Ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago, while Permanent Representative to the United Nations, H. E. Sam Condor chaired the event.

Prime Minister Harris and Premier Brantley brought brief remarks to the large and enthusiastic gathering.

Scores of nationals also turned out on Friday to witness Prime Minister Harris deliver his statement to the General Assembly.  It was Dr. Harris’ his third address to the General Assembly as Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis.

On Sunday (September 30), Prime Minister Harris will attend a Thanksgiving Service at Crawford Memorial United Methodist Church, 3757 White Plains Road and 218th Street, Bronx, New York 10467.  The Service will begin at 4:00 p.m.
