St. Kitts has new tourism website

Basseterre, St. Kitts – On Friday, July 8, the St. Kitts Tourism Authority officially launched its new website, www.stkittstourism.kn. The site is dedicated to providing comprehensive information about St. Kitts as a leisure and business destination.

The new website was designed by locally-owned website development and hosting company Net KN. Enhancements to the original website created in 1995 include the option for live chat with tourism professionals, a booking engine to make reservations online and a fresh, modern new look. In keeping up to date with the latest technology, the website also boasts 360 virtual tour photos of some of the island’s most popular attractions.

Most importantly, the new website features a full range of information about the island including what to see and do, where to stay, places to eat, a calendar of events, details about weddings and honeymoons on St. Kitts and press releases of the island’s latest news.

“St. Kitts is continuing to grow as a destination for both business and leisure travel, so our presence on the World Wide Web needs to reflect that position,” stated the Hon. Richard O. “Ricky” Skerritt, Minister of State in the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture. “We recognize the expanding impact of e-commerce in the tourism industry and this is an area of marketing where we can make a strong impact quickly.”
