Fort Lauderdale – The highly requested air service between Jacksonville and Pensacola is here. Silver Airways today started nonstop flights between Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) and Pensacola International Airport (PNS).
Silver Airways’ nonstop flights between Jacksonville and Pensacola operate on weekdays Monday through Friday with continuing service to/from Fort Lauderdale. This gives Pensacola travelers three direct flights to Fort Lauderdale every weekday with additional connection opportunities. Pensacola marks the fourth destination from Jacksonville.
“As the airline of choice for Florida and the Bahamas, we are thrilled to be providing this important link between Jacksonville and Pensacola, and offering travelers the convenience and time savings of flying over driving,” said Silver Airways Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning Jamie Kogutek.
“Silver Airways’ increased presence in our market means the welcome growth of intra-state air travel between Jacksonville and other Florida destinations,” said Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) CEO Steve Grossman. “The new Pensacola service also links two cities with strong military connections.”
“Pensacola is excited to grow our relationship with Silver Airways and to serve more destinations than any other airport in the region,” said Mayor Ashton Hayward. “This new service will connect Pensacola International Airport with Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, and dozens of new destinations through Silver’s codeshare agreements with top airlines like JetBlue.”
To celebrate the new service, Silver is offering introductory fares from $49* (one way, including taxes and fees) between Jacksonville and Pensacola through 11:59 pm EST on April 14, 2015, for travel between April 16, 2015 and June 26, 2015.
