Secretary General Meets with Foreign Minister of Trinidad and Tobago
WASHINGTON, DC – The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, today met with Winston Dookeran, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago in New York, where the leader of the hemispheric organization is taking part in the 67th Regular Meeting of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
During the meeting, Secretary Insulza thanked Minister Dookeran for the support and commitment of his country to the OAS. The two discussed the security situation in the region and the mandate given to the General Secretariat by the Summit of the Americas to carry out a study on the drug policies developed to this point in the region.
